Terms of Service

Commercial terms, minimum collection thresholds, and service conditions for Clearcycle IT customers.

Last Updated: 2nd June 2026

1. Service Description

Clearcycle IT Ltd provides IT Asset Disposal (ITAD), WEEE recycling, and secure data destruction services. By booking a collection with us, you represent that you are an authorised agent of your business, school, or organisation and agree to these terms.

2. Minimum Collection Criteria

We offer free collection services across mainland UK only when the inventory meets our minimum threshold of **10 major IT units** (laptops, desktop PCs, servers, or monitors). Accessories (cables, keyboards, mice, VoIP desk phones, desktop printers) are collected alongside major units without extra charge but do not count towards the 10-item threshold.

3. Client Obligations

The booking organisation must ensure that:

  • Our collection team is granted safe physical access to the retired hardware on the scheduled collection date.
  • The inventory count declared in the booking request is reasonably accurate.
  • All licensing documentation (WEEE transfer notes) is completed and signed upon collection.

4. Data Security and Custody

While we employ military-grade data sanitisation and mechanical drive shredding as part of our core services, clients are encouraged to maintain backup copies of all files prior to collection. Clearcycle IT Ltd accepts custody of the media strictly for the purpose of sanitisation and recycling. We are not liable for data loss once drives have undergone processing.

5. Governing Law

These terms and any dispute arising from our services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, under the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
